Jimboomba Surprise Wedding

Emma and Dom have a beautiful family. 2 boys, a baby girl and a whole bunch of cute doggies. They’ve built a beautiful family, raised them on a big property at Jimboomba and they thought that maybe it was time to make it paper-official. With their daughter’s first birthday coming up they decided they would invite everyone they loved to join them for a first birthday party and then surprise everyone with a wedding!

Sitting across the kitchen table with them at our first meeting I could just tell how excited they were to finally be getting married and also a little nervous that they had decided to surprise all their family and friends. On the morning of their big day I got a call that the start time of the ceremony had to be changed because one of their important guests was running late, not realising we were waiting for him before we could start the official stuff! But that’s ok! Photographing weddings is all about being able to think on your feet, make timelines work and rolling with what happens on the day.

So we celebrated their gorgeous little girl, and did a cute little cake smash. Then Emma popped inside to clean up after all that cake mess and walked out in her wedding dress, much to the surprise of their guests. Cue happy tears and gasps. And once they made it official, their friends and families rushed to cuddle them and playfully scold them for surprising them all. Then off we rushed to capture the last of the light at a gorgeous field near their house and then back for woodfired pizza. What a day! Congrats guys xx
