Ursh and Dan at Factory 51

When Ursh reached out to me last year to photograph her wedding I was so excited. I sprung over to their lovely home and met Dan and we chatted for hours about their plans and how they didn’t want to have just another β€œwhite wedding”. Factory 51 in Coorparoo is the perfect backdrop for a non-traditional wedding in the heart of Brisbane. They wanted their wedding to show their personality, to show their love for each other. They wanted to keep some of the traditional stuff, but they wanted their wedding to be different. And it started with that dress! All day all I heard from guests was how β€œUrsh’s dress is so her!”. And best part, that dress had pockets!

Little sculls appeared through their decorations (on their chilli jars for guests, on Ursh’s shoes and on her nails!) and they had big long tables with share plates in the middle. It was like a big, fun party. And boy, did we party! One of the best dance floors where all the guests let loose. There was even a (failed) attempted at the dirty dancing move by some of the guests. The day flew by but we made a point to go out before the end and take some night portraits and just let Ursh and Dan breathe in their love for a moment before heading back inside with their guests to dance the night away.
