Alex and Ambrose at Secret Garden
A wedding between a literal Disney princess and her handsome artist prince. Ok ok, maybe I’ve been watching too many fairy tales, but when I arrived where Alex was getting ready and I saw her dress I just about swooned on the spot. When she put it on I did ask her if she would run away with me, but no luck. At least I tried!
Watching their little boy Amias walk down the aisle, Ambrose burst in to the biggest smile with big fat tears running down his cheek and his smile only got bigger when his eyes settled on his gorgeous bride. Before any of the formalities, they had a local Elder perform a Welcome to Country, acknowledging The Wangerriburra people as the traditional owners of the land.
Baby Amias helped mum and dad with their rings. And post “the big kiss” he was scooped up in Dad’s arm so they could all walk out together. We managed to get some beautiful photos with Amias (who totally stole the show by the way) just before we were rained on. After a few drinks with guests to let the rain pass, we skipped off again to get some beautiful photos in the final light of the day.
Their reception was such an intimate and beautiful affair with everyone at one big table. So many sweet stories shared, laughs had and tears shed. Then Ambrose brought out the digeridoo that he hand carved and painted and he played it for his beautiful bride. There was barely a dry eye in the room, including mine. You could just feel and hear the love he had for her and his little boy coming from the beautiful instrument.
Huge shoutout to the gorgeous venue The Secret Garden. Nikki is such a super star and I just love her venue so so much.
Can we do it all again guys?! xx
